Burleigh Pottery x Freddie’s Flowers

Beautiful florals, timeless style and British excellence… no, I’m not talking about Freddie’s Flowers, I’m talking about Burleigh pottery.

To celebrate the launch of our new Freddie’s Shop, I teamed up with the utterly iconic Burleigh to create a range of floral jugs in a bespoke chintz pattern — ideal for showcasing your Freddie’s Flowers at their very best.

To get a flavour of Burleigh’s floral fabulousness, I went to visit their factory in Middleport, Staffordshire. Located in the heart of the Potteries, this is the historic home of British ceramics. That’s what I love about Burleigh; they’re as classic as they come.

I’m all about flowers, and Burleigh’s timeless designs are applied by hand, using a traditional technique. I loved seeing this in action, and was so pleased to work with the Burleigh team to create an exclusive version of one of their bestselling designs.

Once I’d seen how Burleigh creates their ceramics, we knocked ideas back and forth. The aim was to put a modern twist on a vintage pattern, so we took their Burgess Chintz pattern and reimagined it in a striking pink hue. Straight away I knew it was a hit — a bit classic, a bit contemporary and super floral! Just like us.

Burleigh have said: “Exquisitely embellished with wild flower motifs in soothing shades, this pattern is part of Burleigh’s celebrated history; named after our founder, Frederick Rathbone Burgess. A little piece of history paired with flowers of the season, the soft pink tones and wild floral patterns deliver elegance to your home that Freddie’s Flowers truly deserve.”

Available in three sizes, these jugs are perfect for any arrangement. Their flat base helps your stems to sit naturally, plus there’s plenty of neck support and a handle for easy use. The Full Arrangement jug, the Cut Down jug  and the Posy jug look great on their own — they’re even better as a set of three.

Simply sign up to our deliveries or log in to your existing account and head to the Freddie’s Shop where you’ll be able to buy these iconic jug vases individually or as a complete set.

  1. Disappointed in last week’s flowers, irises only lasted 2 days after opening. Only 2 of the roses have come out. Hopefully next weeks will last a little longer. Regards Elaine Wade.
